SHER-E-BANGLA, 33 STATION ROAD

This take away has been open for 4 years and is linked to the restaurant of the same name in Crayford, Kent.

Menu containing all the usual dishes, although don’t be confused with the starter called ‘Bel Puree’. It is not the crispy and delicious Indian street food snack originating from Bombay (Bhel Puri, and not usually found in high street curry houses) but a mix of vegetables on a Puri. Chicken Jalfrezi pleasingly hot and flavoursome in a thick sauce with the chillies cooked in it to give it some zest (much better than green chillies just thrown in at the end as I find to be an increasingly common practice with this dish). Sylheti Bhajee a nice vegetable mixture well cooked and tastily spiced. An enjoyable and good quality formula curry take away.

Prices about average and service pleasant and efficient. There seemed a good trade whilst I was there, which is always an encouraging sign. Minimum charge for a free delivery is £15.
