MELAD TANDOORI (Take Away), Aylesford Station

A take-away tucked away in Aylesford Railway station a little way from the village centre, it has been there for some 5 years. A spacious waiting area and friendly staff to take the order, and very appetising smells while you wait. The menu contains a good selection of all the usuals plus a few others.

I tried a Chicken Tikka Peaza (new to me) which was a medium spicy dish in a thick sauce with lots of onion flavour (as against pieces of fried onion as in Dupiaza) and was very tasty. The Vegetable Bhajee was a little disappointing as it had been overcooked and had a slight burned taste about it. Otherwise a competent formula curry.
