INDIA PALACE, 5 CAVENDISH CIRCUS

A smart looking restaurant situated quite close to the theatre which is convenient for a pre or post theatre dinner. Fairly small at first sight but it has an upstairs to it. Very smart appearance with tables well laid out with crisp white linen, napkins, sparkling wine glasses and waiters smartly dressed in black suits.

As for the food, well I am afraid I can’t report. We could only eat in one of the two Indian restaurants we had found and we had already booked at the other one. However, this appeared well patronised although the food looked and smelled fairly standard curry house fare. The waiter who gave me a take-away menu was very friendly and helpful. The prices looked reasonable, and next time I am in Buxton they will have my custom.
