HERNE BAY CURRY SCENE

Herne Bay has three Indian restaurants (and a few take-aways), as against four for the neighbouring and smaller town of Whitstable. 

The longest established is Gandhi at 139 Station Road, which is a 40-seater in fairly typical style. Another is Shad at 8 William Street (which until about five years ago used to be Khan's). The third, and the most recent addition, is the not-very-imaginatively titled Bangladesh Restaurant at 160 High Street. This doesn't look particularly smart from the outside, but the inside looks OK.
